Mt. Valley High School

Originally, Specialy Services replaced the large Dry Base Kewaunee Boilers converting from # 6 oil to # 2 fuel and installed two Cleaver Brooks Boilers in 2002 reducing the oil usage by 25,000 gallons per year. That project paid for itself in three years.

Twenty years later we replaced the Cleaver Brooks boilers we installed in 2002,  and installed four Viessman high Efficiency Propane boilers with a Efficiency Maine rebate of $37,500.00 this upgrade has reduced their fuel savings by another $8,000.00 gallons of fuel annually.

We were able to reduce the carbon footprint by 280 tons of CO2, After the Viessman boiler install we reduced the carbon footprint by another 89 tons for a total of 369 tons CO2
